Salary: $34-$36/hr

What You’ll Be Doing: Leadership & Team Culture
- Lead by example with professionalism, fairness, and accountability
- Motivate, coach, and develop a team of ~40 employees in fabrication and packaging
- Foster a positive, collaborative, engaged work environment
- Communicate expectations clearly and reinforce a culture of respect and teamwork
- Hold employees accountable in a supportive and constructive manner
- Encourage open communication and provide a safe space for feedback
Production & Operational Oversight
- Review daily production requirements and ensure plans are communicated and executed
- Monitor fabrication and packaging operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Ensure packing and fabrication instructions are followed accurately
- Work closely with Shipping, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues quickly
- Provide real-time support to Leads and Operators to maintain smooth workflow
Continuous Improvement & Safety
- Promote cross-training and ongoing skill development
- Identify performance gaps and support employees’ growth and progression
- Participate in incident/accident investigations and follow through on corrective actions
- Support quality management requirements, NCR investigations, and first-off checks
- Create opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
Shift Coordination
- Conduct clear shift handovers to ensure seamless continuity
- Review machine status, manpower, WIP, NCRs, and priorities at the start and end of each shift
- Manage attendance, call-ins, and timesheet approvals using Dayforce
- Ensure current and next shifts are fully staffed and supported
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and verify material readiness
- Enter work orders for equipment issues and verify that maintenance needs are logged accurately
What We’re Looking For Education & Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in aluminum/metal fabrication, machining, plastics, consumer goods, food, or similar industries is an asset
- Exposure to conventional fabrication or machining processes is beneficial
- Health & Safety certification is an advantage

- Hands-on leader—comfortable spending most of the shift on the production floor
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and team-building ability
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and numeracy
- Ability to read blueprints is an asset
