Our Toronto based client is seeking an Oracle Testing Lead contractor to join their project immediately and will run for 18 months with possibility for extension. This will be a hybrid work setting with some on-site work required at the client offices with some travel to USA locations needed.
- The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Oracle CCB or SAP S / 4HANA testing and lead efforts to ensure seamless system integration, risk mitigation, and quality assurance across the project lifecycle.
- Design overall Test strategy, (end-to-end), Manage timelines, forecasting, develop key performance indicators, manage risks and work closely with Project Manager.
- This role involves designing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to identify defects and ensure that systems meet specified requirements.
- The Oracle Testing Lead works closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Test Planning and Design : Develop comprehensive test plans that outline testing strategies, objectives, and scope. o Design and document detailed test cases based on system requirements and specifications. o Identify test data requirements and prepare test data sets.
- Test Execution : Execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability. o Record and document test results, including any defects or issues identified. o Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Defect Management : Log and track defects using defect management tools. o Work closely with development teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects. o Verify defect fixes and perform retesting as necessary.
- Automation and Tools : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks. o Implement and configure continuous integration and continuous testing (CI / CT) pipelines. o Stay updated with the latest testing tools and technologies and recommend improvements to testing processes.
- Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand system requirements and use cases. o Communicate test results, defects, and risks to project teams and stakeholders. Participate in project meetings and provide input on testing-related matters.
- Performance and Load Testing : Conduct performance and load testing to assess system scalability and reliability under various conditions. o Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks or performance issues. o Provide recommendations for performance improvements.
- Quality Assurance and Best Practices : Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices. o Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. o Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Documentation and Reporting : Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. o Generate test reports that summarize testing activities, results, and defects. o Provide regular updates on testing progress and status to project managers and stakeholders.
