Duties and Responsibilities : Supporting 2 Senior Associates and 1 Junior Associate; Prepare correspondence and legal documents court materials, and assemble documents both electronically and hard copy, including review and editing skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency;- Manage electronic organization of all correspondence documents in document management system and in accordance with court filing procedures, signing and filing of documents;- Prepare internal and external communications including letters, emails and memos;- Manage client file deadlines and diarize key dates in Outlook;- Prepare and deliver monthly client invoices and following up on outstanding accounts;- Open / close / maintain legal files;- Schedule appointments and web meetings, conference calls and manage calendars for lawyers; and- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed. Requirements : - Graduate of a Legal Assistant Program;- 3- 5 years of litigation experience within a law firm, with experience in corporate tax law an asset;- Solid understanding of litigation including Rules of Civil Procedures, knowledge of the Federal Court Rules and Tax Court of Canada rules an asset;- Strong proficiency with MS Office, DocuSign, ACL, Adobe Acrobat, document managements systems, experience with Aderant Accounting program an asset;- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; and- Client focused, professional, and positive attitude.
