TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work for our client’s team. Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy with a long-standing reputation for technical excellence and innovation. With multiple years of experience in delivering specialized solutions across infrastructure, energy, and resource sectors, they are known for fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in proposal development and client communications
- Support construction oversight and quality assurance activities
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders across disciplines
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff
- Perform engineering analyses related to slope stability, foundations, and earthworks
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Plan and execute site investigations for geotechnical and hydrogeological assessments
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
- Eligible for professional engineering registration in a Canadian province
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong analytical skills in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation design
- Experience supporting infrastructure, energy, or resource development projects
- Comfortable working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork, both domestically and internationally
