Production Supervisor (Night Shift) - $75,000 to $85,000 per year - Diamond City, AB

If so, we’d like to hear from you! My client in the food production industry is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the nightly operations of our production team. This role involves collaborating across departments, managing production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting a high-performing team.

Job Type : Permanent position

Location : Diamond City, AB

Schedule : 6 : 30pm to 7am, Continental shift (2 days on 2 days off, with a 3-day weekend every other week)

Environment : Non-unionized

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 per year (range based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities

As a Production Supervisor, a normal shift would include :

  • Liaises with the Quality, Maintenance and Production Departments to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality;
  • Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur quality standards;
  • Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation is suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain the SQF / HACCP, and status at the plant;
  • Undertakes other functions as required;
  • Qualifications

    What do you need for this position?

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a production facility;
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and be willing to work a variety of shifts including coverage of other departments;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team;
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF), an asset.
  • Prior experience in Quality Control and / or Operations within the Dairy, beverage or food processing industry.
