Our client, a global specialist in digital automation and energy management, is actively looking for an Electronics Lab Technician to join their team in Richmond, BC! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required.
- This is a 1 year initial contract with the opportunity for extension and / or conversion
Responsibilities
Test PV productsInterface with the Engineering design team on performing design verification testsWire test setups, utilizing equipment such as grid simulators, PV simulators and data analyzersAssist in the development of test processes and proceduresConduct tests, analyze test data, and write test reports to record performance and provide data to support product compliance with internal and external customer specifications and applicable third-party standardsAssist in the upgrade and maintenance of lab equipmentSupport manufacturing and reliability in the testing of products and the verification of second source componentsRequired Skills
Diploma / degree in Electronic / Electrical EngineeringExperience performing tests & troubleshooting at a system, subassembly, and board levelExperience with testing in an engineering design and / or lab environmentWorking knowledge of test equipment (DVMs, scopes, power analyzers, etc.)Working knowledge or experience using mechanical hardware tools and equipment or PCBA manufacturing (drill press, milling machines, band-saws, soldering, etc.)Power electronics background and / or proficiency with any programming languages is a big plus (C++, Python, etc.)Expreience working with AC / DC power converters such as inverters or chargers is a big plus
