Job Summary

Explore Exciting Opportunities as Nurse Practitioner in our Urgent Primary Care Centres (UPCC) and Family Health Clinics!

Location :  Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCH) - Various Locations

Join one of British Columbia’s top employers and embark on a career where you can truly make a difference. Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) offers a supportive environment for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and a tailored orientation and post-graduate education opportunities for both new graduates and experienced providers.

We have opportunities in our UPCCs in Richmond, Vancouver, and North Vancouver.

VCH’s UPCCs have state of the art facilities and provide urgent care for patients with non-life-threatening injuries, illnesses and conditions that should be addressed within 12 to 24 hours, but do not require the service and expertise of a hospital emergency department. VCH UPCCs ensure quality patient centred care, provided by supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary teams who are enthusiastic about patients. Join a well-established and rapidly growing group of NPs who practice with teams of physicians, NPs, nurses, and allied health providers.

Nurse Practitioners with VCH’s Shellbridge Clinic will be attaching patients to longitudinal care as the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) in a comprehensive team-based care clinic that will cover the full spectrum of primary care / family medicine including prevention, maternity, acute illness, palliative care, chronic disease, and mental health and substance use, over the lifetime of the patient. NPs and their patients will be supported by an interdisciplinary team. Depending on community needs, this will include a mix of family physicians, RNs, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, community support liaison workers, practice coaches and MOAs.

Residencies and Supports :

We provide thorough onboarding and support for new and experienced NPs in all settings and programs.

Our UPCC postgraduate advanced education residencies are designed to mentor and educate NPs, helping them build competency and skills while working in dynamic team-based care environments.
