Join to apply for the Reading Tutor role at Cosmo 1 : 1 (formerly ClassUp). Cosmo 1 : 1 connects K-12 students with tutors from top US and Canadian universities for personalized lessons. Tutors set a flexible, consistent schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and provide Cosmo-provided learning plans for tutors to use.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced educators to work with students in an after-school setting. You will meet with your student at a set time each week for 50-minute 1-on-1 lessons and help them grow in a welcoming, engaging learning environment. Tutors are expected to be reliable role models who come to class prepared, on time, and with a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students
• Update availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
