About the Role
We’re seeking an Elevator Superintendent to lead day-to-day grain elevator operations in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing safe, efficient, and compliant elevator operations while leading and developing hourly employees. You’ll ensure ADM’s standards for safety, quality, environmental compliance, and operational excellence are met at every step.
This position plays a critical leadership role in grain handling activities including receiving, storage, blending, and shipment, while driving continuous improvement across operations, maintenance, and employee performance.
What You’ll Do
• Oversee daily grain elevator operations including loading, unloading, sampling, grading, transferring, blending, and storage of grain
• Execute work plans and prioritize shift activities, effectively assigning resources based on employee experience and capability
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture with a goal of zero injuries through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations
• Ensure compliance with ADM policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, quality control, and environmental standards
• Identify and eliminate environmental, safety, and GMP hazards to protect employees, product quality, and the environment
• Train, coach, and develop hourly employees in operations, safety, food safety, and facility maintenance
• Maintain open communication, address employee concerns, and support positive morale within the department
• Provide performance feedback, recognize safe and effective work, and address discipline issues when necessary
• Lead preventative maintenance programs, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds
• Collaborate with facility and regional management to improve safety, production quality, and overall equipment effectiveness
• Maintain operational documentation and identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
• Stay current with industry regulations, codes, and corporate standards
• Perform additional duties as required
What You Bring
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and operational discipline
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability in fast-paced production environments
• Proven experience leading teams in high-speed or industrial production settings
• Comfort using computers and Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or College Diploma required
• Related industry experience preferred
• Proven experience in operations leadership within manufacturing, grain handling, or industrial environments

Other Requirements
• Must speak fluent English
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and climbing
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round, including dusty, noisy, or hazardous environments
• Commitment to ADM’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
