We are expanding our Kitchen Suppression Department and are seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Technician to step into a senior/lead role. This is an opportunity to help build and lead a department while growing with a well-established, locally rooted fire protection company.

We are a full-service fire protection company proudly celebrating nearly 50 years in business. We provide sales, service, and inspection of fire and life safety equipment, including:
- Fire extinguishers
- Emergency lighting units
- Fire alarm systems
- Wet and dry sprinkler systems
- Kitchen suppression systems
- Backflow preventers and fire hydrants
- Fire alarm & security monitoring services
- Fire safety plans
Our office is located in Abbotsford, and we primarily service customers from Chilliwack to Surrey, with work extending from Hope to Whistler.
Position Overview
As aSenior Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for leading the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems while running and growing the kitchen suppression department.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial kitchen fire suppression systems (including pipe runs, cutting, threading, and system setup)
- Perform annual and semi-annual inspections of kitchen suppression systems
- Inspect, maintain, repair, document, and install fire extinguishers
- Diagnose and repair system deficiencies
- Lead jobs independently and support department growth
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen fire suppression systems
(Badger Range Guard & Industry Guard, Ansul, Amerex, Buckeye, PyroChem, Protex, Kidde Industrial Dry and Wet Chemical Systems)- Manufacturer installation certification preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Valid Drivers License
- ASTTBC Certification
- English fluency required
- Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, and schematics
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
- Strong attention to detail (life safety systems)
- Valid drivers license required
