Description:
A financial services company is looking for a Design Researcher – Expert to work with a cross-functional group of designers, product managers, and developers to identify upcoming decisions that need research inputs, propose methodologies, carry out fieldwork, analyze, and socialize the implications. In this role, you will build relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the design team, support designers and business stakeholders in prioritizing potential research activities, and develop research fieldwork approaches (moderated or unmoderated) that address business and design objectives. You will develop research activities to evaluate prototypes, improve understanding of current context, or generate new understanding of changing user needs, moderate live sessions with users covering high-complexity or sensitive topics, communicate core themes and implications from research activities to the design team and other stakeholders, and design and facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative work activities.

Requirements for the role:

BA/BS degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Studies, Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Technical understanding of design research theory and design research tools

+ years of working knowledge of a variety of design research methodologies

+ years of experience working on cross-functional teams

Education and Experience:

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
