What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Consultant in the Insurance Solutions group within our Technology & Transformation Practice, you will collaborate with senior leaders, manage junior practitioners, and contribute to the firm’s growth and development in a variety of ways.

  • Assist in scoping and planning engagements; support engagement teams; develop deliverable structure and content; ensure exceptional outcomes are achieved
  • Support implementation of various Guidewire Suite modules, which may include: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Data Suite, Digital Portals, Integrations, and Broker Connectivity with Broker Management Systems (Applied etc.)
  • Apply strong analytical thinking and mature judgment to break down complex problems, validate assumptions, identify root causes, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Leverage your functional and/or technical expertise to guide clients through modernization initiatives, system transformations, process redesigns, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify efficiencies and innovative approaches
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development as requested

We partner with clients across the full technology lifecycle—from solution evaluation and selection to transformation planning, process optimization, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise platforms. By combining deep industry knowledge with innovative digital capabilities, our team enables insurers to deliver value faster, enhance operational agility, and manage cost and risk more effectively

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Experience delivering at least one full life cycle implementation, ideally involving complex, multi-phase system deployments.
  • Large scale system delivery experience, preferably for any core insurance platforms (i.e. Admin, claims, billing) with front end integrations
  • Experience estimating and planning large scale system implementations
  • Experience with any core insurance platform is preferred (i.e. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Instanda, OIPA, Sapiens, Fineos, etc) and front-end applications preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in managing a Business Integration effort and project team through multiple phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing
  • Experience in custom software development projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: requirements gathering (functional and/or technical), Quality Assurance / testing of functionality, team lead or scrum master role, development and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of the Canadian insurance landscape across property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation, and life and health (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the end-to-end delivery of implementation programs
  • Demonstrated experience in client facing roles and stakeholder management

In addition, successful candidates will have the following preferred background:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification preferred
  • Hands-on technical expertise in integrating with multiple complex applications, including, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, microservices architectures, and third-party systems via REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Strong expertise in both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and related technologies.
  • Experience delivering projects via an Agile/Scrum methodology and working knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.
  • A strong Java, Gosu, Python background
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, JSON, microservices, etc.)
  • Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development, or testing of a technology integration project
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Eagerness to mentor junior practitioners
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and client teams

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
