Executive Housekeeper

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper for a residence located in Toronto, Ontario. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is full-time, live-out role and requires regular travel to a cottage during the summer months. The schedule is Monday- Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm with some flexibility required.

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeping professional who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a ‘do what it takes attitude’ and have a calm and collected approach when things don't go as planned.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Daily housekeeping includes dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors

● Management of household inventories and implementation of organizational strategies

● Care of fine furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, finishes, and surfaces

● Daily laundry, ironing and steaming

● Schedule and supervise trades and contractors

● Cover and uncover outdoor furniture

● Special projects include, but not limited to, quarterly deep cleans, household cupboard and closet cleaning and reorganization

● Errands not limited to dry cleaning, dog walking, and grocery shopping as required

● Other duties as required from time to time

Applicant Qualities:

● Must have previous experience working in a private residence

● Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces

● Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries

● Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills

● A valid Ontario G license with access to a vehicle is required

● Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
