We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineering to join our Toronto team.

This position will be to work on projects for Rail transit infrastructures (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars).

Responsibilities

• Assist our clients in the conceptual design definition, helping in technical feasibility and constructability.
• Lead a structural team for the design process.
• Ensure appropriate coordination with the rest of the disciplines, requesting inputs and providing results to others in a timely manner.
• Present the alternatives, and the design to the contractor and the client.
• Review technical documentation and identify critical defects.
• Provide guidance to modelers for the BIM model and drawing production.
• Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes.
• Develop structural details and construction plans.
• Review shop drawings and field services in design and construction.

Qualifications

Desirable knowledge of steel structure.
