We’ve opened a role in any of our offices for a talented, entrepreneurial Specification Writer to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Project Delivery group.

• Are you a resourceful, dynamic and skilled design professional with 10 years of experience in the construction, architectural or engineering industry?
• Do you have strong knowledge of specification writing, contract administration, and architectural or engineering design?

Your Role as a Specification Writer:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As the Specification Writer, your role will include:

• Writing and editing specifications for projects and coordinating compliance with project requirements, institutional guidelines, JLR standards, technical conditions, acceptable standards, and existing laws, contracts, regulations, and codes.
• Translating project design requirements into materials, methods, equipment, procedures, and installations necessary to provide the narrative descriptions.
• Developing and updating JLR’s Master Specifications and National Master Specification (NMS) to ensure that they meet industry best practices and lessons learned.
• Working alongside other senior design professionals to prepare specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types that include education, healthcare, science and technology, commercial, industrial, mining and interior design initiatives.
• Implementing digital specification tools to streamline the production of project specifications.
• Developing tips and best practices that can be shared with project teams to improve specifications.
