Rehab Assistant

Overview
The successful candidate will support adult and / or pediatric clients to help them achieve their maximum potential. You will carry out the prescribed treatment program as directed and taught, document clients’ progress, and report outcomes to the regulated health care provider.
Responsibilities
- Implement personalized rehabilitation programs in collaboration with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Speech and Language Pathologists.
- Promote maximum independence for clients at home, in the community, and at work to support re‑integration.
- Conduct engaging exercise programs and group exercise classes.
- Implement effective behavioral interventions tailored to each client’s needs.
- Facilitate and supervise activities of daily living with social, educational, and vocational re‑integration plans.
- Implement cognitive therapy programs to enhance clients’ cognitive abilities.
- Promote and organize enjoyable leisure activities.
- Attend case conferences and team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide safe client transportation (valid insurance required).
- Apply infection prevention practices to maintain a safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities.
- Complete additional tasks as requested to support client care.
Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Rehabilitation Assistant College Program.University degree in kinesiology and / or possession of an RRP or CCRC designation is also considered.Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to handle difficult situations objectively.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.Self‑directed with the capacity to follow direction.Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with secure email.Valid driver’s licence and auto insurance.Benefits
