Job Title: Construction Electrician – Trailer Generator SystemsJob DescriptionThis role focuses on wiring and installing electrical systems on large trailer generator units in a construction environment. You will work as part of a team to complete basket tray installation, conduit runs, wiring, and control panel assembly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Install and wire electrical systems on large trailer generator units in a construction setting.
- Work collaboratively with a team to install basket trays, conduit, wiring, and control panels.
- Pull and terminate wires in accordance with commercial and industrial electrical standards.
- Install and bend EMT and other conduit types to route electrical wiring safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot control panels for generator systems.
- Follow electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete installations accurately.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts when qualified, particularly for work at heights.
- Perform work at heights as required, including tasks completed from a scissor lift.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and site policies, including working at heights and equipment operation procedures.
- Inspect and verify completed electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
- Support general construction and industrial electrical tasks related to generator systems as needed.
Essential Skills- Valid 309A Electrician License or status as a 4th or 5th year electrical apprentice.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
- Proven experience with electrical installations, including conduit, wiring, and control panels.
- Hands-on experience with EMT conduit installation and bending.
- Ability to install and work with basket tray systems for cable management.
- Experience pulling wire in commercial or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with generator systems.
- Certification or training for working at heights.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and scissor lifts when required.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and construction site protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Industrial electrical experience in construction environments.
- Familiarity with trailer-mounted generator systems and related control equipment.
- Comfort working at heights using a scissor lift.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Work Environment
This position is based on a construction build project involving large trailer generator systems. The role may require operating equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts when qualified. Travel time for the commute to and from the site is paid as regular hours, though these hours do not count toward overtime. The environment is hands-on, field-based, and focused on safe, efficient electrical installations in an active construction setting.
