Cylinder Technician

We're A-Gas in Canada, and we're hiring a full-time Cylinder Technician to join our Dartmouth NS, production team. If you're results-driven and ready to reach the next level in your career, keep reading!This role will be hosted through a local temp agency for 120 days and then may be converted to full time after the probationary period has concluded. What You Bring to the Table:Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift, plus possible overtime.Physical ability to independently move/lift 23 kg (50 lbs.), work in environments with uncontrolled climate, and use your hands frequently throughout the day.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand toolsReliable, punctual and safety focusedPrevious experience in warehouse, general labour or manufacturing environment is a plusAbility to communicate and take direction well from othersStrong attention to detailTDG certification is a plusComputer and data entry proficiency preferredHigh School Diploma or GED (Required) Day-To-Day:Our Cylinder Technician works under the direction of our production supervisor to perform timely, high-quality work. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Refurbishing incoming and outgoing cylindersUsing various equipment to test, scrape, sand, and paint cylindersInspecting finished cylinders to check quality and verify they meet client specifications, internal requirements, and industry regulationsCertifying cylinders as neededMaintaining product documentation and accurately handling non-conformitiesReading labels and interpreting color-coding to learn about cylinder contents and gas hazards Our Mission:We are proud to be a global leader in specialty gas and chemical management, but what truly sets us apart is our people and our workplace culture.
