Description Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across the organization.
The successful candidate will oversee a multi-entity accounting function, lead the monthly close and consolidation process, coordinate external audits, and ensure the integrity of financial information used throughout the business.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and supporting a growing organization. The Corporate Controller will work closely with leaders across finance, operations, engineering, sales, and product development to support business objectives while maintaining strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions
- Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting
- Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support management reporting and executive decision-making through high-quality financial information
Accounting Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and treasury activities
- Ensure the integrity of financial records and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, and financial performance indicators
- Support inventory, operational, and project accounting activities across the organization
Audit, Tax & Compliance
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors
- Coordinate annual audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Support tax compliance and tax planning initiatives with external advisors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements
Process Improvement, Systems & Technology
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and simplify processes
- Champion the effective use of ERP systems and reporting tools
- Explore and implement new technologies that improve efficiency and decision-making
- Help prepare the finance organization for the increasing use of automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools
Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational development
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Collaborate with leaders across operations, engineering, sales, and product development
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Required Qualifications Education
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Strong experience with multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting
- Experience managing external audits and year-end processes
- Experience working within ERP environments (NetSuite experience is considered an asset)
- Experience in a growth-oriented, multi-entity business environment
- Experience operating across Canada and the United States
