Role

• Coordinate, prepare and reconcile all corporate tax return filings for ivari and related affiliated corporations.
• Prepare tax provisioning including Return to Assessment to provision / accounting to facilitate financial reporting for these entities in accordance with IFRS.
• Reconcile the tax payable/receivable balances and the general ledger.
• Manage the Internal Control for Financial Reporting (ICFR) process for corporate tax.
• Coordinate the preparation of audit working papers with the respective tax authorities and liaise with auditors on queries.
• Respond to audit queries and review with management.
• Manage ivari’s policyholder CRA and RQ withholding tax (source deduction) business accounts.
• Support with compliance review for Policyholder Taxation processes and procedures.
• Support the Senior Tax Manager with special projects.

$98,000 - $135,000

What We Are Looking For

• University degree in commerce, accounting, law, actuarial science or related subject or equivalent experience and education.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate tax in an insurance/financial services sector.
• Canadian and/or US Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).Completion of or working towards completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Masters of Tax program.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex financial problems.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
