Over 350 pharmaceutical and biotech service providers trust Zymewire for their sales research. Our users are in over 50 countries, ranging from startups to multinationals.

Zymewire is seeking an ambitious Managing Director to lead and grow the brand.

What the role looks like :

As Managing Director, you will optimize and expand our SaaS revenue within the drug discovery and development industry, leading Zymewire strategically to enhance market leadership and drive growth.

You will oversee daily operations and strategic direction of Zymewire, which operates with high autonomy to prioritize customer experience. Since we are bootstrapped, there’s no need for quarterly investor pitches.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Ownership and accountability for Zymewire’s P&L
  • Building and establishing Zymewire’s brand presence
  • Representing the company at industry events and publications
  • Leading and coaching teams, including customer-facing and data teams
  • Collaborating with product and technical teams to develop features
  • Developing strategic plans to meet revenue targets
  • Monitoring KPIs for continuous improvement
  • Fostering a results-oriented culture
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and handling escalations
  • Sharing best practices with other Lumerate brands

  • Must haves :

  • Experience with Zymewire or in drug development industry
  • Willing to relocate to Toronto, with hybrid work arrangement
  • Sales leadership experience in biotech, pharma, or as a vendor
  • 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Managed people managers for at least 2 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; MBA, Master’s, or PhD a plus
  • Previous work experience :

  • Ability to acquire new knowledge quickly
  • Experience leading successful marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of SaaS and biotech / pharma industries
  • Contribute to a profitable, bootstrapped Canadian tech company

    Salary : $185,000 - $220,000 CAD base, with OTE of $250,000 - $350,000 CAD, depending on experience and performance.

    Location : Hybrid in Toronto, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at 1655 Dupont St.
