We are looking for a motivated
Insurance Sales Representative to join our Hamilton team. This is a full-time, sales-focused position for someone who takes ownership of their results and wants to build a long-term career in the insurance industry.
Insurance experience is an asset, but it isn't required. We're more interested in finding someone with the right combination of sales ability, communication skills, work ethic and willingness to learn.

- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate home, auto and other insurance solutions.
- Educate clients about coverage options and help them make informed decisions.
- Recognize and act on sales and cross-selling opportunities.
- Follow up with prospects and clients to develop new business.
- Work toward individual and office sales goals.
- Conduct needs-based insurance reviews with existing clients.
- Maintain accurate client information and follow company underwriting and compliance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to provide an excellent customer experience.
What We're Looking For - Outgoing and comfortable starting conversations with new people.
- Competitive and motivated by achieving measurable sales goals.
- Comfortable being accountable to individual sales and activity targets.
- Self-motivated and accountable for results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Organized and able to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups.
- Comfortable using technology, CRM systems and social media.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive team attitude and strong work ethic.
- Desire to learn, improve and develop professionally.
Qualifications - Previous sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in banking, financial services, automotive sales, telecommunications or another goal-oriented sales environment would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales or performance goals is an asset.
- Previous insurance experience is an asset, but not required.
- Must be licensed or willing and able to obtain the required Property & Casualty insurance licence.
- Must be licensed or willing and able to obtain the required Life insurance licence.
- College diploma or equivalent education/experience preferred.
- Experience in insurance sales, service, underwriting or claims is an asset.
Compensation & Opportunity - Expected total compensation: $60,000–$75,000+, including base salary, commissions and performance bonuses.
- Base salary starts at $50,000, with a higher starting salary available depending on experience, licensing and background.
- Strong sales performance, particularly in Life insurance, provides the opportunity to earn $70,000+.
- Compensation can continue to grow with performance, experience and contribution to the agency.
- Training and support are provided to develop your insurance knowledge, licensing and sales skills.
Benefits & Perks - Minimum 3 weeks paid vacation, with additional vacation available based on experience and tenure.
- 5 paid personal/sick days per year.
- Health, dental and vision benefits.
- Life insurance.
- Training, development and support with required insurance licensing.
- Hybrid work schedule after the initial six-month training period.
- Long-term professional development and growth opportunities.
Hybrid WorkThe first six months of the position are
in-office to support training, licensing, coaching and integration with the team.
After successfully completing the first six months, the position transitions to a
hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home, subject to performance and the requirements of the role.
A Long-Term Career Opportunity We invest significant time and resources in training, licensing and developing our team members. Because of that investment, we're looking for someone who genuinely wants to build a career with us rather than someone looking for a short-term or transitional position.
Candidates should be prepared to commit to the position for at least two years, with the goal of developing and growing with our team beyond that.
If you're looking for a temporary position or already expect to move on within the next year, this likely isn't the right opportunity.
If you're looking for a place where you can develop professionally, build relationships with clients, be rewarded for strong sales performance and become an important part of a small team, we'd like to hear from you.
