Senior Software Developer- Front End

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer - Front End to design, develop, and implement modern, high-performance web applications. You will play a critical role in translating complex technical specifications into robust, tested, and user-friendly interfaces. This position requires deep expertise in modern web frameworks (React, Next.js) and a strong command of Jamstack architecture. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT professionals throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to build scalable features, including login systems, profile creation, and self-service portals, while ensuring accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Contract Duration: 15-month contract with potential for contract extension
Rate: $543.7-$579.46/diem

Responsibilities
Front-End Development: Design and implement user interface interactions using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user experience.

Architecture & Integration: Utilize Jamstack architecture and headless CMS solutions; build and test RESTful APIs; integrate with authentication systems (e.g., Azure AD B2C, Okta).

Technical Implementation: Translate technical systems specifications into detailed programming specifications and production-ready code.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, debugging, and cross-browser compatibility checks to ensure application reliability.

Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during operation, providing post-implementation support and refining performance.

Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders and IT subject matter experts to elicit requirements and conduct design walkthroughs.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and system specifications, while adhering to AODA accessibility standards.

Qualifications
Core Tech Stack: Expert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

Technical Proficiency: Proven experience building and testing RESTful APIs and working with Jamstack architecture.

Design & UX: Strong background in responsive web design, UI interaction, and creating accessible interfaces.

Process & Methodology: Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and using version control systems.

Integration Experience: Hands-on experience with authentication integrations (Azure AD B2C, Okta) and headless CMS platforms.

Communication: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; ability to communicate complex technical designs clearly to diverse teams.

Education & Standards: Understanding of Information Management principles and AODA regulatory requirements.

Cloud Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms (specifically Azure) is highly desirable.
