Overview

AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.

Your role

  • Perform instruments technical specification, EQR, sizing, and selection of various types of I&C components and produce component-related documentation, including assessment documents.
  • Update and/or prepare I&C engineering design documents, including design requirements, design description, elementary diagrams, functional specifications, etc., together with the supporting analysis/assessment documents and other design basis documents.
  • Prepare, Review and approve preliminary design walkdown report, OPEX report etc.
  • Provide input to the drawing office for the preparation of various I&C related engineering drawings such as general arrangement drawings, instrument loop diagrams, wiring and connection diagrams, bills of materials, etc.


About you

  • Honors degree in a relevant field of engineering and member of PEO (PEng).
  • Experience in working with Instrumentation and Controls equipment vendors will be an asset.
  • Minimum 10 Years' experience in conceptual, preliminary and/or detailed design of CANDU instrumentation and control systems and modifications. Familiarity with OPG Engineering Change Control/Modification process is an asset.
  • Having OPG site security clearance.
  • Currently working / Worked in OPG for preliminary engineering, detail design and modification project activities as per OPG N-PROC-MP-0090.
  • Currently working / Worked on OPG AS7 and/or AS9 system, (or an equivalent asset management system).
  • Familiarity with industrial/nuclear QA programs and procedures along with pertinent CSA, IEEE, or related I&C engineering codes and standards would be an asset.
