Adecco is currently hiring a
Bilingual Operational Support Specialist for a full-time remote opportunity. This role is ideal for a bilingual professional with a medical or legal background who has strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills and is comfortable navigating complex and sensitive situations over the phone.
In this position, you will provide advanced operational support to callers who require assistance beyond standard contact centre services. You will handle warm-transfer calls, interpret complex medical and legal documentation, research specific issues, provide personalized guidance, and accurately document interactions while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
- Location: Remote
- Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary
Responsibilities- Answer inbound and warm-transfer calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide accurate and personalized responses to caller inquiries using discretion and sound judgment beyond standard scripting.
- Assist callers with specific and potentially complex challenges and accurately document interactions within their files.
- Interpret and understand complex documentation, including medical diagnoses and legal paperwork.
- Conduct research using available internal resources to effectively resolve caller inquiries and issues.
- Navigate multiple computer applications and systems simultaneously while assisting callers.
- Manage challenging or sensitive conversations with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
- Apply knowledge of medical or legal terminology and processes when supporting callers with specialized inquiries.
- Use active listening and problem-solving skills to understand caller needs and determine appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of calls, research, actions, and resolutions.
- Adhere to assigned schedules and established call flows.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Must be bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education or professional experience in a medical or legal field is preferred, such as law clerk, paralegal, or nurse reviewer experience.
- Ability to interpret and understand complex documentation, including medical diagnoses and legal documentation.
- Previous experience handling customer or client inquiries by telephone is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent active listening and customer service abilities.
- Ability to provide personalized guidance using discretion and judgment rather than relying exclusively on scripted responses.
- Ability to manage challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer applications simultaneously.
- Must have a quiet and professional home workspace suitable for remote work.
- Must have a headset and at least two screens, such as a laptop and monitor or desktop with two monitors.
- Computer must have Windows 10 or higher, an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor or better, at least 8 GB of RAM, and at least 238 GB of hard drive storage.
- Internet connection must have a minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps and download speed of 20 Mbps, with preferred speeds of at least 10 Mbps upload and 25 Mbps download.
- Internet jitter must be 9 or lower.
- Internet speed test must be completed within one week of candidate submission.
- Mobile hotspots and unauthorized VPNs are not permitted.
