Job description
TITLE: Nanny / Household Manager (Live-In or Live-Out) – Victoria, BC LOCATION: Victoria, BC JOB TYPE: Full-time (live-in or live-out, ideally live in) START: Mid December or beginning of January ABOUT US We are a warm, respectful, and well-organized professional family looking for a reliable Nanny/Household Manager to support our home and children. We value kindness, structure, and clear communication. Our household is calm, predictable, and enjoyable to be part of. We share our children with co-parents, which creates a very manageable rhythm in our home: • Two children (ages 6 and 8) are with us about 70% of the time • Two children (ages 4 and 6) are with us every other weekend • One self-sufficient teenager (no care required) • All kids are in school during the day • Every other weekend is quieter • We do not allow guests in the home (keeps things peaceful and consistent) We are two busy professionals (business consulting and neuro-optometry) who appreciate someone who takes pride in keeping a home running smoothly. WHAT WE OFFER • Live-in or live-out position (your choice) • Clean, beautiful, safe home • Brand-new SUV provided for all child-related driving • Predictable schedule with good balance • Supportive, respectful environment • Opportunity for long-term stability • Competitive pay based on experience ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Childcare: • Helping the kids get ready for school • Driving to and from school and activities • Providing structure and gentle guidance • Encouraging responsibility and independence • Occasional care when we travel (short periods) Household Support: • Daily tidying and general organization • Sweeping and vacuuming main living areas • Keeping the kitchen clean • Laundry (wash, fold, put away) • Cleaning bathrooms • Managing garbage and recycling • Simple meal prep (vegetables, kids’ lunches, snacks, easy dinners) WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Calm, kind, grounded personality • Organized and consistent with routines • Confident driver with Canadian driving experience • Clear communicator • Someone who enjoys kids and a well-kept home • Able to set appropriate boundaries while staying warm and encouraging • Respectful and professional in the home environment HOURS Full-time with some flexibility. Kids are in school during the day, and every other weekend is lighter. We will work with the right candidate to finalize a balanced schedule. TO APPLY Please include: 1.
