Job Description
The Warehouse & Customer Service Representative's primary responsibility is in the warehouse, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory support. This role also provides customer service coverage during vacations, absences, peak periods, or when warehouse activity allows, ensuring continued support for customers and operations.
Primary Responsibilities: Warehouse & Shipping
- Pick, verify, and stage materials for customer orders by accurately comparing products to shipping documentation.
- Assemble and package materials for customer pick-up and shipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation, carrier paperwork and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or stock concerns
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Remove and dispose of empty cartons, pallets, banding, and warehouse debris.
- Operate warehouse equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
- Report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities: Customer Service Support
- Provide customer service support during employee vacations, absences, peak periods, or slower warehouse activity.
- Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner.
- Process orders, quotations, returns, and other customer transactions.
- Provide product information, pricing, and delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records within company systems.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve customer issues.
- Escalate complex issues when required.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Maintain a clean and professional customer service workspace.
