Within the Insurance Technology team, our Promises Delivered Value Stream is modernizing advisor- and client-facing platforms and technologies to provide customers and business partners with secure, dynamic, and efficient applications. We are looking for a Quality Engineer who is curious about emerging technologies, comfortable working with legacy systems, and motivated to find creative solutions to complex problems.

You will bring your ideas, perspective, and technical experience to the development of new features and digital solutions. You will have an active voice in a collaborative and supportive team where we get work done together, take ownership, and share accountability for quality outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review and translate requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing meaningful and timely feedback to product and development teams.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated regression and performance test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Xray, Postman, and JMeter.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and practices to support test planning, test design, defect analysis, test automation, and quality documentation, while validating outputs for accuracy, compliance, quality standards, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze automation results, investigate failures, and communicate findings clearly to relevant partners.
  • Design detailed, comprehensive, and traceable test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual functional and regression testing when automation is not appropriate or practical.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators for product quality and reporting.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, including defect density, defect frequency, and first-time pass rate.
  • Stay current with testing tools, software, frameworks, and quality engineering practices.
  • Promote quality-focused methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and design practical improvements.
  • Maintain and communicate new or revised quality standards and technical changes.
  • Prepare and deliver formal quality audit reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including advanced experience with test automation.
  • Experience developing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with testing and automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Xray, and Jira.
  • Solid knowledge of testing approaches, including UI testing, automated testing, and behavior-driven development/testing.
  • Ability to identify quality engineering best practices and determine where to apply them, including risk-based testing.
  • Familiarity with black-box and white-box testing practices.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to coach colleagues, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge, skills, and methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying AI-assisted techniques to test analysis, test design, defect investigation, test automation development, and quality documentation.
  • A learning mindset and the ability to apply insights from both successes and setbacks.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through differing perspectives constructively.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical vision, options, and outcomes to varied audiences.
  • Interest in experimenting with emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact.
  • Experience supporting testing deliverables for complex enterprise implementations.

When you join our team:

  • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
  • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
  • As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
