Job description

Our reputable client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join their team and assist with a wide range of essential HR functions
IMPORTANT LOCATION NOTE:
Please be aware that the client's facility is located just outside Edmonton in Fort Saskatchewan. The applicant must have experience working on site in manufacturing or oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities
Compensation & Tracking: Verifying and reporting hours for bi-weekly payroll processing and managing vacation tracking/communication.
Recruitment Cycle: Supporting the full recruitment process from reviewing requirements, formalizing job descriptions, posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Onboarding & Benefits: Conducting pre-employment checks, managing the full onboarding process for new staff, and clearly explaining employee pay and benefit packages.
Performance Management: Assisting in developing, distributing, and tracking performance appraisals. Helping managers and employees set annual performance standards and reporting against targets.
Employee Support: Coaching employees to help them reach their full potential, encouraging high performance, and endorsing the principles of teamwork.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant employment laws and regulations and highlighting any forthcoming legislative changes.
HR Administration: Drafting general forms, letters, reports, and memos, and supporting the HR Team with all transactional functions.
Program Support: Assisting with the coordination and implementation of employee retention programs.
Adaptability: Being flexible to take on ad hoc duties as priorities change within a busy department.

Qualifications
Educational Foundation: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a closely related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Confidentiality & Integrity: Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and private information with the highest levels of discretion and ethical standards.
HR Exposure: Prior experience in an HR function, internship, or exposure to core HR practices is considered a significant asset.
Administrative Acumen: Proven success in a fast-paced office or administrative setting is beneficial.
Technical Proficiency: Expert level competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), with the capacity to rapidly master new software and systems.
Precision & Focus: Meticulous attention to detail ensuring high levels of accuracy in all documentation and processes.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across a diverse workforce.
Drive & Attitude: Possesses a strong work ethic, exhibits a positive team-oriented approach, and is recognized as dependable and professional.
