Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Concrete Finishers to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. Successful candidates must be able to align with the company's core values : Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Responsibilities :

  • Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
  • Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Perform all tasks with safety consciousness
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of concrete finishing or Form Setting  experience required
  • Prior experience in the construction industry
  • Prior experience in operating power vibrators to compact concrete is an asset
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to commute to different sites across Edmonton
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently with little supervision
  • Flexibility and adaptability are assets
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends.

    • Additional Information :

  • This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
  • This position is eligible for over-time
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
  • Training will be provided for various activities
  • We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
  • Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
