Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

This contract role offers the opportunity to work as an experienced electro-mechanical assembler in a dynamic airport manufacturing facility. You will assemble mechanical and electrical components, follow schematics, and use hand and power tools to build high-quality products that meet strict production and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical products using detailed instructions, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Perform mechanical assembly tasks including fitting, fastening, and aligning parts to build machines and related equipment.
• Carry out electrical assembly work such as wiring, crimping, and connecting harnesses and connectors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to correctly route wiring and install electronic and electrical components.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, adjust, and secure parts and assemblies.
• Inspect assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper function, and make adjustments or corrections as needed.
• Handle wires, harnesses, and connectors carefully to ensure reliable electrical connections and neat routing.
• Follow production procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines throughout the assembly process.
• Use basic computer systems to access work instructions, record production information, or track work progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support general labor tasks related to production and assembly as required.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including machine building and assembling mechanical components.
• Proficiency in electrical assembly, including wiring, crimping, and working with harnesses and connectors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to guide assembly and wiring work.
• Experience working with hand tools and power tools in an assembly or production setting.
• Computer literacy sufficient to follow digital work instructions and record basic production data.
• Experience reading electrical components and some electronic component identification.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving machine build or equipment assembly.
• Familiarity with harnessing techniques and proper handling of wires, connectors, and terminations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when following schematics, diagrams, and instructions.
• Solid problem-solving skills to identify and correct assembly issues or wiring errors.
• Ability to collaborate with production team members and support general labor tasks as needed.
