Account Manager - Institutional Relations
Specific responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen and execute the Pan Canadian business plan targeting institutional clients
- Manage the full sales process by developing a strong pipeline of potential opportunities, building those opportunities, and evolving them towards new business for DGAM
- Effectively review and document sales data and client specific information in order to strategically approach clients
- Build partnerships and coordinate conference calls and presentations conducted independently or with investment team members
- As business development lead of opportunities, partner with the various stakeholders in order to build the best solution proposal for client and to coordinate timely responses to business proposals (RFPs)
- Contribute to thought leadership material to build notoriety of DGAM's expertise
- Represent DGAM at various industry-based conferences and events to further develop DGAM'S presence in the institutional community
- Foster relationship with various internal partners and support cross sales opportunities of the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the institutional investment space or other relevant experience
- Experience of the fixed income markets (an asset)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- CFA designation is highly desirable; equivalent titles would be considered
- Appropriate Canadian registration required
- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of investment trends and financial markets with the ability to communicate and articulate complex financial concepts
- Knowledge of the fixed income markets (an asset)
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written (an asset)
