The role
As the Category Officer – Technology & Digital, you will support the procurement strategy of Technology & Digital categories, manage contract across ASIC's Technology & Digital portfolio, Technology & Digital and provide advice on contracts, governance and procurement processes.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for Technology & Digital, procurements, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, contract execution and contract management.
- Providing procurement advice and guidance to business stakeholders, while preparing procurement approvals, tender documentation and contract documentation in consultation with legal and business representatives.
- Acting as a key liaison between stakeholders, suppliers, Legal and Technology & Digital teams on procurement matters, including supporting negotiations and contract variations.
- Conducting procurement and contract management activities using Commonwealth procurement arrangements, including Digital Marketplace, Software Marketplace and Hardware Marketplace.
- Monitoring procurement activity, maintaining procurement records and databases, and assessing procurement, contract and probity risks to support effective project delivery.
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and government partners while supporting procurement capability across the Technology & Digital portfolio.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring procurement experience, ideally in a government environment, along with a strong understanding of procurement frameworks, contract management and stakeholder engagement. Experience in Technology & Digital procurement is highly desirable. You will be highly organised, customer-focused and able to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes.
You will have experience supporting end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and contract management, along with knowledge of government procurement policies, probity requirements and procurement marketplaces. Strong communication, project management, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, together with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement, will be key to your success.
