YOUR IMPACT

You won’t be stuck in maintenance mode. This role helps maximize value for our clients while optimizing the company’s databases. You’ll work with Agile (Scrum) and Lean (Kanban) methodologies, Docker, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Terraform, JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow, alongside some of the world’s leading brands.

YOUR TEAM

We hire top talent and give them the space to thrive. As part of the team, the DBA is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s internal and client databases. No egos, just smart people solving complex problems together.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your day to day will look like this:

• Comprehensive database management: Setup, administration, maintenance, and optimization of internal and client databases, including pre-production and production environments.
• Security and reliability: User access and privilege control, development of backup and recovery plans, and participation in technical and operational support.
• Performance and development: Analysis of database performance, recommendation of improvements, and occasional contribution to data modeling and persistence layer development.
• Cross-team collaboration: Support to Infrastructure, Development, and Security teams by providing environments, tools, data, and guidance.
• Commitment and availability: Involvement in drafting operational procedures and willingness to participate in a level 2 on‑call rotation (evenings and weekends).

THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The following experience will help you succeed in this role. However, if you don’t meet all these criteria, but have experience in Oracle administration, we will be happy to consider your application, because we’re looking for potential first.

• Technical expertise: 3 to 5 years of experience in administering, maintaining, and optimizing relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), including development and execution plan analysis to improve performance.
• Cloud and security skills: Solid knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data encryption practices (“data at rest”, “data in motion”), notably using SQL TDE or equivalent.
• Systems and scripting: Professional experience with Windows and Linux, along with knowledge of a scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or application development (considered an asset).
• Reliability and problem‑solving: Proficiency in backup and restore processes, with strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Professional profile: Organizational skills, autonomy, rigor, initiative, excellent command of French and functional English (spoken and written), with a relevant university degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
