Job description
Job Posting: Full-Time Nanny for Two Children (Starting December) Location: New Westminster Start Date: December 01, 2025 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm approx. Pay: $20/hour (Family will be employer through CRA) - negotiable We are a warm, welcoming family of 4 looking for a gentle, fun, and easygoing nanny to care for our two children — a sweet and curious 20-month-old with special needs boy and an energetic, imaginative 4.5-year-old girl. The 4 year old attends preschool 9-2:30 each day. About the Role: This position is perfect for someone who is nurturing, dependable, attentive, and enjoys engaging children through play, exploration, and learning. Our ideal candidate is someone confident working with young children, comfortable with special needs, therapy routines, and values enjoying the small things and going at a kid’s pace. Primary Responsibilities: Caring for our 20-month-old during the day, including engaging in developmental play and completing a therapy routine (training/support will be provided). School drop-off and pick-up for our 4.5-year-old (preschool nearby walking distance). Preparing and serving meals and snacks for both children. Playing, reading, and exploring the outdoors. Creating a calm, structured, and joyful daily rhythm. Giving a daily outline of the activities at the end of the day. Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying up play areas, loading/unloading dishwasher, children’s laundry, etc.). Who You Are: Gentle, patient, and fun-loving Reliable and punctual Fluent in english and strong communication skills Comfortable following routines and therapy activities Able to keep house tidy throughout the day after activities Experienced with toddlers and preschool-aged children (experience with special needs is a plus) Non-smoker and scent/fragrance free (extremely important) Comfortable with cats (we have two friendly cats) Safety and Security Criminal record check CPR/First Aid certified References required Additional Details: Pay: $20/hour (Family will be official employer through CRA) Employment type: Full-time, long-term preferred, approx. 40 hours/week Some flexibility for extended hours if parent(s) are working overtime at short notice.
