Department: Respiratory Services – Oshawa. Program: Respiratory Services. 12‑hour shifts, DDNN schedule (subject to change). Cross‑site responsibilities at Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Ajax‑Pickering.
Wage Schedule
Graduate Respiratory Therapist: $33.94–$39.07. Registered Respiratory Therapist: $38.35–$53.28.
Overview
Lakeridge Health is hiring enthusiastic Graduate Respiratory Therapists across our hospital sites. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on clinical experience, grow professionally, and make a difference in a collaborative, patient‑centered hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence‑based respiratory care in a supportive learning environment.
- Support patients in acute and critical care settings, including ICU, Emergency and NICU.
- Assist in the delivery of therapeutic interventions including ventilation management, oxygen therapy and airway management.
- Work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training, mentorship and orientation.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Eligible for Graduate or General registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; ACLS/NALS/PALS an asset.
- Strong communication skills, clinical judgment and willingness to learn.
- Flexible, adaptable and team‑oriented.
