You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. How YOU will make a difference:
  • Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
  • Performing routine testing duties within Chemistry and Hematology which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
  • Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities
What YOU bring to the role:
  • You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment
  • You have a minimum of 6 years experience as a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist
  • You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment
  • Carry a CSMLS Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
  • Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Nice to have: working experience in the Chemistry or Hematology field, knowledge and understanding of Diagnostic Accreditation standards.

  • Repetitive fine motor movements of hands
  • Perform duties in stationary standing/sitting positions
  • Exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents and bio-hazardous and radioactive materials
  • Shift work required
