Education & Experience: Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three years of recent clinical experience in skin and wound care, including one year in leadership/education in a community health setting, and one year in IV/PICC management; completion of a recognized wound ostomy and continence course, or equivalent. Advanced proficiency in PICC insertions. Valid BC Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of skin and wound care theory and evidence-based practice; ability to teach and facilitate learning; ability to develop and revise education programs; leadership and mentoring skills; clinical assessment and nursing interventions; proficiency with PICC insertions and IV therapy; strong communication; person-centered care; ability to work independently and within an inter-professional team; ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment; knowledge of research processes and interpretation of data; ability to operate related equipment and software; physical ability to perform duties.
