What You'll Do:

➢ Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO content strategies, leveraging your 5+ years of content writing experience to create high-performing, search-optimized content across multiple platforms and client websites

➢ eCommerce SEO Optimization: Optimize product pages, category structures, and site architecture for Shopify and other eCommerce platforms, ensuring maximum organic visibility and conversion potential

➢ Technical SEO Management: Conduct comprehensive technical audits, implement schema markup, optimize site speed, and ensure proper indexation across client websites and eCommerce stores

➢ AI Traffic Metrics & Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and adapt to AI-driven search trends and traffic patterns, staying ahead of algorithm updates and emerging search technologies while learning to leverage AI tools for SEO optimization

➢ Keyword Research & Strategy: Perform in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-value opportunities for organic growth, particularly in eCommerce and retail sectors

➢ Performance Tracking & Reporting: Create detailed SEO performance reports using Google Analytics, Search Console, and specialized SEO tools, providing actionable insights and recommendations to clients

➢ Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with web development, paid media, and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated throughout all digital marketing initiatives

➢ Client Communication: Present SEO strategies, progress updates, and recommendations to clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights

What You Bring:

➢ Education: Marketing degree or equivalent experience in digital marketing, communications, or related field

➢ Content Writing Expertise: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in content writing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating SEO-focused content creation across various industries and formats

➢ eCommerce Platform Knowledge: Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar eCommerce platforms is a significant asset, with understanding of product optimization, category structures, and conversion-focused content

➢ SEO Technical Skills: Proficiency with SEO tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other industry-standard platforms

➢ AI & Emerging Technologies: Demonstrated interest and willingness to learn about AI's impact on search traffic metrics, algorithm changes, and emerging SEO technologies

➢ Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex SEO metrics and translate findings into actionable strategies

➢ Growth Mindset: Eager to learn and adapt in the rapidly evolving digital marketing landscape, with a passion for staying current with industry trends and best practices

➢ Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience presenting to clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams

➢ Office Collaboration: Enthusiasm for in-person collaboration and team building, with commitment to working from our Montreal office a minimum of 3 days per week

➢ Project Management: Experience managing multiple SEO projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

➢ Industry Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing ecosystem including paid media, social media, email marketing, and web development as they relate to SEO strategy
