Job description

Join to apply for the Store Counter Sales role at NAPA Auto Parts.

We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers' automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines—though that’s a plus—but having a background in automotive parts is important. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other opportunities within our company.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing auto parts solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
  • Using your parts knowledge to assist team members with customer questions.
  • Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions.
  • Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores.
  • Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Utilizing technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and catalogs.

  • Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions.
  • Have automotive industry experience or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks.
  • Are eager to learn about automotive parts.

What You’ll Need

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong listening skills and customer empathy.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership industries.
  • Experience with cataloging and inventory management systems.
  • Customer-centric attitude.
  • ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
