The Labour & Employment practice group provides management side legal advice, and representation in a variety of Labour & Employment matters. Lawyers in these groups regularly appear before arbitrators, administrative tribunals, and courts. The team also represents clients in mediations, settlement conferences, interest arbitration, and collective bargaining.As a Labour & Employment (L&E) Associate, you will be responsible for:Managing your own files and working alongside other L&E team members;Providing legal services across a broad range of L&E matters;Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to ensure positive outcomes;Analyzing complex legal issues and offering strategic advice; and,Representing clients in court, at hearings, and in negotiations.The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked on labour and employment (L&E) matters;Strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills;Exceptional client-focused approach with effective interpersonal and communication abilities;Ability to leverage technological skills and established procedures and processes;Proven ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple files; and,A strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced and client-focused environment.We also recognize the importance of integrating work and life, which is why we offer a range of benefits designed to support our team, including:Flexible work arrangements to support work-life integration;Industry-leading group benefits program to ensure your health and well-being;Personal spending account (wellness benefit);Professional development and conference opportunities;Interest-free student loan program;Our Team - we can't say enough about our people!
