Job Description
- To diagnose and complete the repair of seals and seal parts along with Shipping Receiving duties
- Receives, identifies, inspects and disassembles parts and materials returned by customers
- Performs simple operations using shop equipment (drill press, air compressor, sandblaster, lapping machine, ultrasonic tanks, and power tools)
- Verifies part specifications with measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Maintains and repairs shop machinery
- Handles all materials through the department which includes loading, unloading, packaging, unpacking, counting, and issuing the proper paperwork for inventory and transportation
- Operates hoists, hand tools and other equipment to load and unload trucks.
- Processes incoming material and writes the receiving tickets for all inventory items, supplies and equipment received.
- Prepares products for transportation by rating, palletizing and using appropriate protective materials
- Weighs and meters shipments for transportation (labels, adds postage, records weights and units, prepares bills of lading and air bills.)
- Responsible for working in a safe fashion and reporting concerns.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals
- Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
- Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.1-2 years of related experience.Ability to read and interpret average assembly and machine drawings.Resolve elementary technical problemsMust be able to sit for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant.Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.Additional Information
