About the Role
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for preparing logistics budgets, reporting on expenses, inventory optimization, cost savings, process improvement, supplier management, and field execution. Additionally, the role handles office administration of the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, development, and assembly of the logistics budget.
- Measure performance to budget through statistical reporting and variance explanation.
- Ensure compliance of budgeting for Shipping, Transportation, and Fleet teams by validating invoices.
- Monitor financial performance against approved budget and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance.
- Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans, preparing and completing action plans.
- Set and monitor targets with Distribution leadership and develop actionable plans.
- Assist with RFP process for 3rd‑party freight and Distribution / Fleet requirements.
- Coordinate projects outlined in the Logistics Strategy Document.
- Develop and implement data analytics supported by reports and dashboards.
- Provide logic for period‑end variances and recommend steps to contain negative variances.
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain performance, defining actions when results are off target.
- Maintain scorecards for department errors, credit notes, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate with IT to implement effective systems and improve processes.
Qualifications & Experience
5‑10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain.Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals and ability to embed best practices.Experience with inventory planning, warehouse management, and distribution processes.Data mining, analysis, and reporting skills.Proficiency in MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems.Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies.Benefits
