The Department of Families is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a term Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) Facilitator position located in Brandon.

Duties : Reporting to the Supports Intensity Scale Program Manager, this is a social services position within the Community Service Delivery Division of the Department of Families. The incumbent in this position is responsible to conduct a multi-dimensional, comprehensive support needs assessment of Community Living Disability Service clients to inform the completion of the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS). The incumbent is expected to work as a member of an established service delivery team and use sound independent judgement. The incumbent uses the professional application of social work theory and methods to conduct assessments with clients, with cognitive, medical, behavioural and communication challenges, and their network of supports. These assessments will inform intervention and funding strategies for individuals, their families and care providers. The incumbent uses a range of interviewing and assessment skills to ensure the standardized application of SIS developed by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).
