Reporting to the Vice President, Solution Delivery & Innovation, the Sr. Manager will be responsible to lead a team of IT Project Managers and Business System Analysts. Working in collaboration with other IT and Business stakeholders, the Sr. Manager is in a position to greatly influence pro gram and project management related to currency, data, cyber and infrastructure. They will act as a leader in their area of expertise and will contribute to the bank's strategic directions. The Sr. Manager will be accountable for managing resources and also where required, be assigned to Program or Project delivery to assist the team.

Responsibilities

Oversee the IT Project Managers and Business System Analysts, in the realisation of execution of Programs or Projects

  • Own the delivery framework, templates and ensure consistent, repeatable delivery around design, execution and close out
  • Ability to validate detailed project schedules, budgets, and task management strategies to achieve the success of Programs or Projects

Collaborate with the business as well as external vendors to build strong relationships

  • Monitor task assignments to help ensure they are performed on schedule, within intended scope and to a satisfactory level of quality
  • Monitor progress in areas of focus and implement proactive measures when progress deviates from plan
  • Take an integrative role delivering projects, manage project teams, including the overall performance and delivery of large, cross-functional implementations
  • Advise and support management on all strategic projects and actions to be taken, proposing approaches.
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 to12 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 to 5 years of experience in People Management role
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in the Development of Application Solutions, Infrastructure, Networking and Technical Project Delivery
  • Strong knowledge of new Technologies and Market trends (SOA, Web Services, Cloud Computing, etc.) and to understand their application in the internal context of the company
  • Strong experience in Re-engineering and Optimization of Business Processes
  • End-to-end development Lifecycle experience a plus including Project Management skills
  • Must be able to assess requirements, designs, test plans, deployment plans and perform peer reviews
  • A strong and effective change agent with excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of addressing stakeholders at different levels in the organization
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, SMEs, business teams, vendors and project stakeholders
  • Leadership skills including effective delegation, conflict resolution, negotiation and ability to influence diverse set of stakeholders
  • Communication skills that are effective with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills (multi-tasking) and a highly-motivated individual who can drive an enterprise program with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with Financial Services or Banking organizations is preferred
  • Bilingual (English / French) verbal and written communication skills are an asset
