External Reporting Analyst

The Opportunity:

Join our client's team for a 4-month contract opportunity as an External Reporting Analyst and play a crucial role in transparent, accurate, and timely financial reporting. As an External Reporting Analyst, you’ll work closely with the Senior Director of Management Reporting to fulfill the organization’s external financial reporting requirements. You’ll coordinate with Financial Reporting and Investor Relations teams, handle data preparation for MD&A, investor packs, and more, ensuring reporting aligns with regulatory standards.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Collaborate with Financial Reporting and Investor Relations teams to manage deliverables and timelines for all external financial reporting requirements
• Collect and analyze data for MD&A, investor packs, AIF, MIC packages, and audit reviews
• Support the preparation of investor relations earnings call materials and assist in crafting external earnings and press releases
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports by identifying and resolving data discrepancies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and internal control requirements related to FP&A
• Provide coverage for other Management Reporting Analysts when necessary, contributing to team goals

What We Need From You:

• University degree with a recognized accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
• Proven experience supporting financial reporting in a public company
• Familiarity with OneStream or SAP is an asset
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Exceptional organizational skills; attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various management levels
