Job descriptionDegree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. P.Eng. (or working toward licensure) in Ontario. Minimum 3 5 years of plant engineering experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting (chemical, petrochemical, or similar). Experience working in hazardous environments is an asset. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of steam / condensate systems, power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and low / high voltage systems. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE). Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities :
- Lead and support plant projects, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
- Troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processes to boost reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance for maintenance and operations teams.
- Work with pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, cogeneration, HVAC, refrigeration (ammonia / glycol), and utilities.
- Drive energy management, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental standards.
- Be available for occasional after-hours support during production issues or shutdowns.
