SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

JOB CONDITIONS :

$21,75 / hour : School bus – Class 2

• Safely driving students to and from school / home
• Minimum $761,25 per week
• MEQ retention bonus of $2,400 per year
• MEQ hiring bonus of $1,700 in first year (plus $2,400)
• MEQ referral bonus of $500 per new driver recruited into the profession
• Paid pedagogical days and statutory holidays
• Mandatory uniform provided by the employer
• School calendar with free time during the day
• Two weeks off at Christmas, one week off for spring break, summers off
• “Métier unique” training paid by the employer (CFTR)

$19,00 / hour : School minibus – Class 4B

• Safely driving students to and from school / home
• Minimum $6650,0 per week
• MEQ retention bonus of $2,400 per year
• MEQ hiring bonus of $1,700 in first year (plus $2,400)
• MEQ referral bonus of $500 per new driver recruited into the profession
• Paid pedagogical days and statutory holidays
• Mandatory uniform provided by the employer
• School calendar with free time during the day

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS :

We encourage drivers to supplement their income during holidays, weekends and summer vacation through extracurricular or chartered transportation or paratransit.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are mandated by various school services centres and private educational institutions in Laval, Montréal, Lanaudière and the Laurentians to ensure the transportation of students from home to school and back on a daily basis as well as, occasionally, for extracurricular activities.

We have a fleet of buses, minibuses and minivans to deliver school transport service, which is governed by Quebec’s Loi sur l’instruction publique.

School transportation means :

• Performing routine inspections of the vehicle and keeping it clean;
• Safely driving students to and from school / home;
• The driver remains in the driver’s seat and does not handle baggage;
• Monday-to-Friday routine according to the school calendar, with free time during the day;
• Two weeks off at Christmas, one week off for spring break, several statutory holidays and pedagogical days off, plus summer vacation.
