About the Role
The IT Infrastructure Manager (Americas) will be responsible for managing the provision, installation, support, and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure to support Taghleef Industries business operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that any additional requisite for the information technology network, platform, are acquired, installed, and maintained and supported economically, efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, integrity, security through proper monitoring and control mechanism.
- Ensure that methods, standards, procedures used within the assigned area adhere to accepted professional industry standards and Company Policies.
- Manage & ensure that assigned staff are developed personally and professionally.
- Evaluation of technology and solutions for the Ti Group.
- Manage the provision, installation, operation, maintenance and support of information technology infrastructure to support the business plan and related short term and long term requirements.
- Ensure assigned area and projects are appropriately resourced and organized to operate effectively, efficiently, and economically.
- Plan and manage the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of resources within assigned area.
- Assist with determining professional standards, methods, and procedures to be used in the assigned area and ensure these are adhered to for all relevant activities.
- Assist with determining the technical architecture to be employed for information systems including hardware platforms, networks, security, business data backup, operating systems and utilities, monitoring, and control utilities / tools if any.
- Monitor assigned area’s strategic, tactical and operational plans to ensure deliverables are produced on time to the required quality.
- Be hands‑on from time to time & ensure that the Firewall, network servers and storage both on‑premises and on Cloud, are maintained, plan and carry out upgrades and ensure the relevant security policies, patches are implemented to have a strong secured infrastructure environment maintained.
- Ensure that Disaster Recovery procedures are defined, documented, implemented, and tested according to industry best practices and standards.
- Ensure target IT service levels are met. Provide standard periodic service level reports and other progress reports to IT management.
- Maintain and update personal technical and business knowledge. Provide active and informed professional advice to IT management, business management and colleagues.
- Define and monitor the objectives of assigned staff. Ensure that their training requirements, and their need for personal and professional development, are adequately provided for.
- Ensure that assigned area is developed to provide stable professional and competent long‑term service for Ti group.
- Study and test the latest solutions and technologies available in market which will facilitate the business.
- Be ready to travel to other Ti Sites to meet business and project requirements.
- As per the needs of the business there may be other responsibilities and accountabilities assigned for the position at times and will require management of the tasks / projects for Americas as well as for Global IT Infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent qualification in the IT domain preferably a BE / BTech– IT / IT graduate or an equivalent graduate with certification in MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineering) certification and PMP (Project Management Process).Extensive formal training, certifications in all aspects of infrastructure operation and management like ITIL, PMP etc.Professional certification in network / security management- CISCO certification – CCNA / CCNP.The jobholder should have hands‑on knowledge on various software’s, organizing technical demonstrations, with sound understanding and skills across IP networking, security, and network management / administration.Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting organizational, communication, prioritization, and problem solving and leadership skills with ability to create and sustain high work tempo.Excellent Relationship Management skills, articulate, combine strong business acumen with the ability to conceive profitable and efficient solutions utilizing technology.Results‑oriented leader committed to inspire and motivate team members & successfully manage multiple priorities.Required Skills
Expert Knowledge of LAN’s / WAN’s; Windows OS; Active directory, File servers, Microsoft Exchange e‑mail server; Hyperconverged appliances specifically Dell VxRail as well as others; Server virtualization solutions like VM ware as well as others; backup systems (Veeam, Dell Networker and immutable storages); firewalls (Watch guard, Fortinet and Cloud firewalls); Anti‑spam email protection (Mimecast); Antivirus and EDR (Trend micro – VisionOne); computer and server hardware (replacing hard drives, hardware drivers, etc.); Network switches and Access Points (CISCO, HP Aruba); Enterprise PBX (Cisco UC and Alcatel); Linux Administration (Redhat, Oracle Linux, Suse), Cloud IaaS platforms (Oracle OCI, Azure, GCP), Microsoft 365 Administration including Microsoft Intune, Purview, Entra, Sharepoint, Teams and Security admin centers; Security Incident Response and managing SoC and NoC teams.Preferred Skills
Working Knowledge of LAN’s / WAN’s; Windows / Linux OS; Active directory, File servers, Microsoft Exchange e‑mail server; EMC2 storage device; Systems (server virtualisation) VM ware, backup systems (time navigator); network / workstation peripherals; firewalls, spam (trend micro – scan mail) & antivirus (trend micro – Office scan) hardware / software; computer hardware (replacing hard drives, hardware drivers, etc.), switches (DLINK, 3Com, CISCO), and Linux (Redhat).Over ten years’ experience in IT infrastructure of which at least five years managing infrastructure and operations in a medium size manufacturing organization.Background of direct hands‑on experience of technical activities relevant to assigned area.Pay range and compensation package
