We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder / Millwright 433A to assist in the assembly, refurbishment, and repair of custom machinery and automation systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building large mechanical systems, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and delivery standards.
The Machine Builder will work closely with the Manufacturing and Operations teams to deliver machinery on time, within budget, and to specification, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, install, and repair large custom machinery and mechanical systems, including auxiliary systems.
Follow Health & Safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Review blueprints and building plans to determine parts and assembly sequences.
Assist with efficient build sequencing and project material organization.
Inspect all components to ensure they meet required specifications.
Troubleshoot, repair, or rebuild machinery per production schedules and engineering specifications.
Conduct equipment run-offs, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
Advise managers on production improvements, efficiency gains, or potential issues.
Teardown, crate, and prepare machinery for shipping as needed.
Create redlines on drawings and submit updates to the Manufacturing Manager.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Mentor apprentices or junior team members, as required.
Maintain strong customer service and professional relationships during installations or site visits.
Complete projects on time and within budget.
Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Achieve successful mentorship outcomes when guiding apprentices.
433A Millwright Certification (required).
5 10 years of hands-on experience building large custom machinery or automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
Experience with project organization, inventory management, and blueprint interpretation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to travel to customer sites for installation, repair, or upgrades.
Work on highly customized machinery projects with advanced mechanical and automation systems.
